My Lai Memorial Exhibit Featured At UIC School of Public Health

The UIC School of Public Health and the College of Nursing hosted the Memorial Exhibit from September 16 – September 20. Chicago VFP member Gerry Gorman in the School of Nursing partnered with Susan Altfeld, Associate Dean in the School of Public Health to plan programming around the exhibit. Student volunteers did a great job helping set up the exhibit and acting as Exhibit Guides. Many students participated whole-heartedly – writing in the Exhibit Journals, leaving remembrances on the Memorial Altar and expressing their reflections in sculptural collages. It was a real pleasure to engage with these students and hear them talk about the connection between war and about other serious public health issues.
